Trypanosoma brucei infected rabbits - kinin concentration in blood of infected rabbits, similar in all infections, this contributes to the increased vascular permeability, and hence inflammation and oedema causing pathogenesis see Boreham PFL. 1979 In Biochemistry and Physiology of of Protozoa . 2nd ed. vol 2 Acad Press; Boreham PFL 1985. in Immunology and Pathogenesis of Trypanosomiasis. ed Tizard CRC Press and many other papers -see Boreham 1988 DSc. Peter Boreham studied the pathogenesis of trypanosomiasis extensively in 1960s and 1970s in Africa.
